Warriors forward Bunty Afoa has been found not guilty of a dangerous contact head/neck charge and is free to play the Knights at Mt Smart Stadium this Friday.
Afoa was hit with hit with a grade one charge for an incident involving Dragon Leeson Ah Mau last Saturday but successfully fought the charge on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Brisbane forward Josh McGuire has received a one-match suspension after pleading guilty to a contrary conduct charge, while Warriors forward Sam Lisone has been suspended for two matches.
McGuire was handed a grade-one charge for a 24th-minute incident in Brisbane’s loss to Canterbury on Thursday night after pulling the hair of Bulldogs lock Adam Elliott.
There was a similar incident two weeks ago in which footage showed McGuire pulling a similar stunt on Panthers forward Corey Harawira-Naera but the Broncos lock was not charged after that game.
Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves has received a fine of $1350 after entering an early guilty plea for a 19th-minute careless high tackle on Cowboys veteran Kane Linnett.
Meanwhile, Wests Tigers forward Sauaso Sue has avoided a suspension after entering an early plea over a grade one dangerous contact charge over a tackle on Newcastle fullback Kalyn Ponga on Friday night.
